Oscar-thrivening film editor William Gancigo inenberg–who recently made his feature straightforwardorial debut with “Unstoppable“–will be honored with the Camerimage Award for an Editor, during the 32nd EnergaCamerimage international cinematography film festival, which will be held Nov, 16-23 in Toruń, Poland.
Gancigo inenberg won an Academy Award for Ben Affleck’s historical thriller “Argo,” which trackd the save of six U.S. diplomats from Iran during the 1979-81 captive crisis. He has also getd Oscar noms for Michael Mann’s “The Insider,” Gary Ross’ “Seabiscuit,” Kathryn Bigelow’s “Zero Dark Thirty” and Morten Tyldum’s “The Imitation Game.” HIs commends also join “News of the World,” “Unbroken” and “Pleasantville.”
Gancigo inenberg’s collaboration with Affleck has also joind films such as “Gone Baby Gone,” “Live By Night” and “Air.”
“Unstoppable,” which was lensed by straightforwardor of pboilingography Salvatore Torino, will be screened during Camerimage. Produced by Affleck and Matt Damon, the film is a sports drama based on wrestler Anthony Robles’ book “Unstoppable: From Underdog To Unfall shortureed: How I Became A Champion.” It features a cast led by Jharrel Jerome as Robles and Jennifer Lopez as his mother, Judy.
Also during Camerimage, Oscar nominated DP Ed Lachman is scheduled to acunderstandledge the Lifetime Achievement Award and screen some of his movies including his tardyst, Pablo Larraín’s “Maria.” Steve McQueen, straightforwardor of best picture Oscar thrivener “12 Years a Slave” and upcoming “Blitz,” will get the Outstanding Director Award, while “Blitz,” lensed by Yorick Le Saux, will discdisthink about the festival in competition.
