YouTube is taking a page out of the TikTok take partbook by includeing “jewels” you buy to trade for gifts for your likeite creators during inhabitstreams. The feature, proclaimd in September’s Made on YouTube event, is rolling out in the US over the next scant weeks for eligible creators in the YouTube Partner Program.
The feature is reminiscent of TikTok’s inhabitstream gifting, which essentiassociate labors the same way, except you buy “coins.” On YouTube, gifts you sfinish to inhabit streamers materialize onscreen and include to their getings called “rubies,” appreciated at one cent each. YouTube says there’s no repaired revenue split since the cost of jewels can alter based on promotions, so the amount of rubies geted can vary. For the next three months, YouTube will give a bonus of 50 percent on getings to eligible creators of up to an includeitional $1,000 per month.
Creators can only get gifts on vertical inhabitstreams straightforwardly on YouTube or thcdisadmireful third-party streaming gentleware, and watchers can only gift items while using the YouTube mobile app. Once a creator allows gifts for their account, they can no lengthyer get YouTube’s Super Stickers from fans.
