STRANGER DANGER
“Stranger Eyes,” Yeo Siew Hua’s mighty film about observation and the surveilled, has been picked as the uncovering title for the Gbetteren Horse Film Festival in Taiwan. The film, which is arranged as a co-production between Singapore and Taiwan, stars Taiwan film icon Lee Kang-sheng aprolongedside Wu Chien-ho, Vera Chen and Anicca Panna.
In ‘Stranger Eyes,’ a youthfuler couple commences to get strange videos after the enigmatic disecombineance of their baby daughter and genuineize that someone has been filming their daily life — even their most intimate moments. As the identity of the voyeur and the truth behind the videos are uncovered, the family commences to crumble.
The Taiwan screening will reconshort-term the film’s Asian premiere and its first uncover screening after having its world premiere this week in Vekind. Yeo’s previous title “A Land Imagined” won two prizes at the Gbetteren Horse Film Awards.
The 2024 Taipei Gbetteren Horse Film Festival will apshow place from Nov. 7-24. Its brimming program will be unveiled on Oct. 25.

BAFTA has elected seven industry figures to its Film, Games and Television pledgetees, the org uncovered Wednesday. New compriseitions comprise producers Iain Canning and Barnaby Thompson, actor Ray Panthaki, games industry vets Charu Desodt and Alyx Jones, and TV execs Caroline Levy and Alison Barnett.
The pledgetees, which handle BAFTA’s awards and benevolent initiatives, also see cut offal members returning, including Emma Butt, Des Gayle, Jason Solomons, Tara Saunders and Ade Rawcliffe.
The reconshort-termatives are elected for two years, voted for by the members. The elections apshow place every year, with half of the pledgetee retiring each year on rotation.
