Rizzo, 35, struggled this season, hitting fair .228 with eight home runs while joining in 92 games. Once understandn as one of the best deffinishers in the sport, Rizzo’s defense became undepfinishable towards the finish of the season.

The first baseman suffered two fractured fingers when he got hit by a pitch at the finish of the season, and missed the Yankees ALDS prosper over the Kansas City Royals. Rizzo returned for the ALCS and World Series and had a .267 unrelabelable with a .421 on-base percentage over 10 games.

That decision was a no-brainer for the Yankees. Weaver aelevated as one of the best relievers on the team, and was exceptional in their postseason run, pitching to a 1.76 ERA in 12 games.
