The Writers Guild of America West has an rerent with the company behind The Expendables franchise and Has Fallen films. WGA West Plivent Meredith Stiehm and other directers today sent a “Do Not Work” order to members about writing for Rambo producer Avi Lerner’s Millennium Pictures.
“The Guild has had to transport a meaningful number of claims aachievest Millennium over the years for the company’s flunkure to pay authorrs initial compensation and residuals, as well as flunkure to pay authorrs wilean the timesummarize established in the MBA,” the memo states (read it in filled below). “The Guild has resettled that Millennium is not financiassociate reliable and needs the posting of an adequate bond before it can become signatory. Millennium has, to date, declined to do so.”
Millennium Films did not instantly react to Deadline’s seek for comment; we will refresh this post if and when we hear back.
The production company has been a signatory on previous WGA tights but not on the one hammered out after last year’s 148-day authorrs strike. Its plifts also comprise such films as Prozan Nation, The Hitman’s Bodyprotect, Hellboy, 2008’s Rambo and its sequel Rambo: Last Blood

We are writing to vigilant you that WGA members are banned under Working Rule 8 from carry outing writing services for, or selectioning or selling literary material to, Millennium Pictures, Inc. (Millennium), or any affiliate thereof.Millennium is not signatory to the 2023 MBA.

It is presentant that Millennium be stoped from undercutting authorrs’ standards and conditions. Until there is resolution, Millennium cannot be apvalidateed to profit from writing services provided by WGA members.
