Andy Muschietti idepartner wants to create three seasons of It: Welcome to Derry.
It: Welcome to Derry is a forthcoming HBO series based on Stephen King’s It novel, which was published in 1986. Muschietti — who honested 2017’s It and 2019’s It Chapter Two — is broadening the series alengthyside Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs.
Speaking on Radio TU, via BloodyDisgusting, Muschietti discleave outed that he has three seasons of It: Welcome to Derry intentional.

He persistd, “So they talk about catastrophic events from the past, enjoy the fire in the Balertage Spot…. the massacre of the Bradley Gang, a gang of prohibitk robbers in the ’30s… and the explosion of the Kitchener Irontoils. Every time [Pennywise] comes out of hibernation, there is a catastrophic event that happens at the commencening of that cycle.”
While It: Welcome to Derry Season 2 hasn’t been officipartner greenlit at this time, Muschietti shelp each of the three potential seasons would be based on one of the aforealludeed events.
“There’s a reason why the story is tgreater backward. So the first season is 1962, the second season is 1935, and the third season is 1908,” he shelp.
Muschietti noticed that Warner Bros. was charmd with how It: Welcome to Derry Season 1 turned out and that the company is now “very interested in making the second season as soon as possible.”
It: Welcome to Derry is foreseeed to premiere on HBO and Max in 2025, though an exact free date has not yet been proclaimd.
