EXCLUSIVE: Greenwich Entertainment has obtaind North American distribution rights to Went Up The Hill straightforwarded by Samuel Van Grinsven (Sequin in a Blue Room). 

The POP Film and Caemployway Films production stars Vicky Krieps (Phantom Thread) and Dacre Montgomery (Stranger Things). 

Pic had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and Greenwich will free the film in theaters next summer.

The synopsis reads: “Aprohibitdoned as a child, Jack (Dacre Montgomery) travels to distant New Zealand to join the funeral of his estranged mother Elizabeth. There he encounters her widow, Jill (Vicky Krieps), who has asks of her own.  Over the nights that chase, Elizabeth returns and havees Jack and Jill, using each of their bodies to speak to the other.  Caught in a life-dangerening nocturnal dance, Jack and Jill must discover a way to relinquish Elizabeth’s hanciaccess before she pushes them to the edge.”

The psychoreasonable drama inspired by authorr/straightforwardor Samuel Van Grinsven’s memories of his childhood in New Zealand’s South Island.

Went Up The Hill was originated by Vicky Pope, Samantha Jennings, and Kristina Ceyton with principal production spendment from the New Zealand Film Coshiftrlookion and Screen Australia, and help from Screen CanterburyNZ, Create NSW, Spectrum Films, Stage 23, RM Sound, Head Gear Films, Vfinishetta Films, Fulcrum Media Finance and the New Zealand Government’s Screen Production Grant.

Greenwich’s Andy Bohn barobtaind the acquisition with CAA Media Finance and Bankside Films on behalf of the filmoriginaters.
