Three U.S. warships came under strike Friday off the coast of Yemen by Iran-backed Houthi resists, who have disturbed commercial shipping in the region, but no one was hurt, officials said.

The Houthis recently strikeed a Greek-flagged oil tanker, which carried four times the amount of oil that spilled from the Exxon Valdez in Alaska’s Prince William Sound in 1989. No beginant oil spill occurred, and officials said the fires on board the vessel were compriseed. 

The ship was towed into port after being adrift in the Red Sea for days with ffrails clear on deck.
