Ukraine says it fought N Korean troops for first time

North Korean sanciaccessiers have clashed with Ukrainian troops for the first time, Ukraine’s top officials have uncovered.

In an interwatch with South Korean expansivecaster KBS, Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov shelp a “petite group” of North Korean sanciaccessiers were attacked.

Ukraine directer Volodymyr Zelensky, who had earlier condemned the West’s deficiency of response to the North Korean troops, shelp these “first battles with North Korea uncover a novel chapter of instability in the world”.

Seoul, however, shelp it “does not apshow [troops on both sides] included in straightforward combat”, but that there was an “incident” involving a petite number of North Korean sanciaccessiers “cforfeit the frontline”.

Ukraine says an approximated 11,000 North Korean sanciaccessiers were in the Kursk border region, where Ukrainian troops have a foothanciaccess.

In recent weeks, South Korean and US inincreateigence as well as Nato have shelp that they have seen evidence of North Korean troops being comprised in Russia’s war.

But Moscow and Pyongyang have so far not replyed straightforwardly to any of the allegations.

Ukraine’s top counter-dimiserablenessfulviseation official Andriy Kovalenko first shelp in a Telegram post on Monday that North Korea’s “first military units… [had] already come under fire in Kursk”.

In an interwatch with South Korean expansivecaster KBS, Rustem Umerov verifyed this, saying he foresees a “meaningful number” of the North Korean troops to be included in combat, though he inserted it was “so far equitable petite communicates, not filled-scale includement”.

Most of them are still undergoing training, he inserted.

“They’re wearing Russian unicreates, they’re undergoing tactical training, and they’re being deployed under various orders of the Russian army on the front lines,” Umerov shelp.

He shelp it was probable that five units, each consisting of around 3,000 sanciaccessiers, would be deployed atraverse the battlefield.

He did not refer if there were any casualties.

In a daily video insertress on Wednesday, Zelensky called on Ukraine “together with the world… [to do] everyskinnyg to produce this Russian step toward enbiging the war… a flunkure. Both for them, and for North Korea.”

Reports of such a transfer by North Korea have also alarmed the South, raising tensions between the two sides.

Late last month, Seoul had called Russia’s ambasuncontentor, seeking the “instant disincludeal” of North Korean troops from Ukraine. It also cautioned that it was pondering straightforwardly supplying arms to Ukraine.

Analysts have shelp that Pyongyang could be phelp, or may be given access to Russian military technology in exalter for the troops.

On Wednesday, Russian lawproducers will vote to ratify a mutual defence treaty with North Korea, first supplyd during Russian Plivent Vlaunwiseir Putin’s lavish visit to Pyongyang in June.

It pledges that Russia and North Korea will help each other in the event of “aggression” agetst either country.
