Albuquerque police shelp the 13-year-ageder and 15-year-ageder have both been indictd with an uncover count of homicide, consillicit copying to pledge homicide, leaving the scene of an accident involving wonderful bodily harm or death and unlhorrible haveion of a handarmament by a person.
Authorities count on the 13-year-ageder was the driver of the car that ended 63-year-ageder physicist Scott Dwight Habermehl, who was faloftyy struck at around 4:40 a.m. on May 29, 2024, as he was biking to his job at Sandia National Laboratories.

The 15-year-ageder and an 11-year-ageder boy, who is too youthful to be indictd with homicide, are count ond to have been passengers in car, police shelp.
“The boys videotaped the crash from inside the car as the driver swerved from the southbound lane on Moon St. onto a dedicated bike lane and struck Habermehl,” a Monday police statement shelp. The kids in the car saw the flashing airy on the bicycle and audio of the recording recommendd they intentional to hit the bicycenumerate.”
Video of the crash was recorded from inside the car and circuprocrastinateedd on social media. Detectives getd a tip about the video being posted to social media. A middle school principal also inestablished to Albuquerque Public Schools police that a student inestablished the same video of the crash.
In the recording, a voice count ond to be the 13-year-ageder driver is heard saying that he was about to hit the bicycenumerate before accelerating the car, authorities shelp. He is then heard saying, “Just bump him, brash,” police shelp.
