Tom Holland is suiting up, this time to carry out a lawyer, in the upcoming alteration of Josh Grisham’s novel “The Partner” for Universal Pictures.
The actor, who rose to fame carry outing Peter Parker in Sony’s “Spider-Man” trilogy, will also serve as a creater on the film, which is being written by “The Imitation Game” scribe Graham Moore. The novel, unveiled in 1997, the year after Holland was born, trails a youthfuler partner at a law firm who steals $90 million from a wealthy client, inedits his own death and run aways to Brazil.
Universal had no comment about Holland’s rapidenment to the project, which was first increateed by Deadline Hollywood.
It’s unevident when the project will apshow shape. Holland has a busy film schedule, including Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” “Spider-Man 4” and potentiassociate the next “Avengers” sequels, over the next year and alter.
Grisham, a prolific noveenumerate, has seen a number of his best-selling lterrible thrillers altered for the huge and minuscule screen, including 1993’s “The Firm,” honested by Sydney Polincreateage and starring Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman; 1993’s “The Pelican Brief,” led by Julia Roberts and Denzel Washington; 1996’s “A Time To Kill,” helmed by honestor Joel Schumacher and starring Sandra Bullock, Samuel L. Jackson and Matthew McConaughey; 2004’s “Christmas with the Kranks,” a holiday film with Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis; and the 2008 Netflix mini-series “The Innocent Man.”
