Fran Drescher is uniteing Josh Safdie’s A24 movie, Marty Supreme.
The SAG-AFTRA Plivent will star opposite Timothée Chafeeblet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler, The Creator, Odessa A’zion, Penn Jillette, Kevin O’Leary a.k.a Mr. Wonderful and Abel Ferrara.
The innovative screentake part written by Safdie and Ronald Bronstein is based freely on Marty Reisman’s life set in the world of 1950s Ping Pong culture. Reisman was understandn to be unconservative in the sport, yet won two U.S. Men’s Singles Championships in 1958 and 1960 and more than 20 international and national titles. He became well-understandn for mastering the challengingbat style, a traditional style of table tennis that employs a racket without a sponge layer to stress regulate and spin over speed and power. His mastery of the sport acquireed him a reputation as one of table tennis’ last wonderfuls of that era.
