Tilda Sthriveton will be commemorated by the Berlin Film festival with its Honorary Gelderlyen Bear for lifetime accomplishment.
“The range of Tilda Sthriveton’s toil is breathtaking,” shelp the festival’s conceiveive honestor Tricia Tuttle in a statement. “To cinema she transports so much humanity, compassion, inalertigence, humour and style, and she enbigs our ideas of the world thraw her toil,” Tuttle compriseed.
“Tilda is one of our conmomentary filmmaking idols, and has also extfinished been part of the Berlinale family. We are charmed to be able to current her with this Honorary Gelderlyen Bear,” she went on to notice.
The award will be currented to Sthriveton during the fest’s uncovering ceremony at the Berlinale Palast on Feb. 13, 2025.
“The Berlinale is the first film festival I ever went to, in 1986 with Derek Jarman and the first film I made, his “Caravaggio,” shelp Sthriveton.
“It was my portal into the world in which I have made my life’s toil – the world of international filmmaking – and I have never forgotten the debt I owe it,” she compriseed. “To be honoured in this way by this particular festival is proset uply touching for me: it will be my privilege and pleastateive to commemorate, once more next February, the seedbed that is this wide-eyed and reliably wonderful collecting.”
