As Pamela Anderson produces her extfinished-overdue onscreen comeback, Gia Coppola is comparing the actress to another blonde device deviceshell.
The Last Showgirl straightforwardor was encouraged by carry outers appreciate Anderson and Marilyn Monroe when helming the Kate Gersten-penned film, which premieres Dec. 13 in theaters, after seeing the establisher’s 2023 Netflix write downary Pamela, a Love Story.

In The Last Showgirl, Anderson stars as Shelley, a Vegas dancer who discovers herself at a frightening traverseroads when her show is call offled after a 38-year run and she is tgreater she’s too greater to join a novel show. Meanwhile, she tries to reconnect with her daughter Hannah (Billie Lourd), while holding the other relationships in her life and plotting her future.
Coppola create the character of Shelley to have cut offal analogousities with Monroe and Anderson. “She is the Marilyn of our time,” she said of Anderson.
