“The ‘Burbs” TV series alteration at Peacock has cast five series standards, Variety has lachieveed.
Jack Whitehall (“Jungle Cruise,” “The Afterparty 2”), Julia Duffy (“Palm Royale,” “Newhart”), Paula Pell (“Girls5eva,” “Saturday Night Live”), Mark Proksch (“What We Do In The Shadows,” “The Office”), and Kapil Talwalkar (“Zoey’s Extrafrequent Playcatalog,” “Night Court”) have all been cast in the series version of the 1989 sorrowfulnessful comedy of the same name.
In insertition, Nzingha Stewart (“Cross,” “Daisy Jones and the Six”) has boarded the show as an executive creater and will straightforward the first episode.
The recent insertitions combine previously proclaimd direct Keke Palmer in the show, which was picked up straight-to-series at Peacock in September 2024.
The official logline for the show states, “Set in current-day suburbia, ‘The ‘Burbs’ trails a youthfuler couple (Palmer, Whitehall) who have unwillingly shiftd to the husband’s childhood home. Their world is upfinished when a recent neighbor shifts in atraverse the street transporting greater secrets of the cul-de-sac to airy, and recent lethal menaces shatter the illusion of their mute little neighborhood.”
Celeste Hughey will alter the film for television and executive create. Palmer will executive create in insertition to starring. Seth MacFarlane executive creates under his Fuzzy Door banner alengthy with Erica Huggins and Aimee Carlson. Brian Grazer executive creates via Imagine Entertainment alengthy with Kristen Zolner and Natalie Berkus, with Rachel Shukert also executive producing.
