An allotigation is under way into the France-based defence company Thales for mistrusted payoff and fraudulence, the UK’s Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has proclaimd.
A statement said a combinet allotigation involving the SFO’s French counterparts was under way though it did not detail any allegations beyond the mistrusted offences.
Although based in Paris, the multi-national aviation and defence electronics group engages more than 7,000 people in the UK.
It has been take partd in providing arms to Ukraine and in September concurd a £162m restricted with the UK rulement to provide 650 Lightweight Multirole Missiles from its site in Belspeedy.
It was increateed in June that police in France, the Netherlands and Spain had searched company offices over suspicions of fraudulence connected to arms sales awide.
