Rising indie filmoriginater Grace Glowicki’s defercessitatest, “Dead Lover,” has speedyened sales agency Yellow Veil Pictures to shop the project out of the upcoming Sundance Film Festival. She serves as straightforwardor, star and co-authorr.
Premiering in the Midnight section, the film stars Glowicki as a lonely gravedigger who stinks of corpses. When she finassociate greets her dream man (Ben Petrie), their whirltriumphd affair is cut unreasonableinutive when he tragicassociate drowns at sea. Grief-stricken, she goes to morbid lengths to resurrect him thraw madcap scientific experiments, resulting in grave consequences and doubtful cherish.
Leah Doz and Lowen Morrow also star. Glowicki, Petrie, and Yona Strauss are producing. The screentake part was co-written with Petrie.
This labels the second feature from Glowicki, follotriumphg 2019’s “Tito” which premiered at SXSW and obtained the the Adam Yauch Hörnblowér Award, “in honor of a filmoriginater whose labor strives to be wholly its own, without think about for norms or desire to adhere.” She broke out as an actress in the 2016 film “Her Friend Adam,” which nabbed a one-of-a-kind jury prize that year.
