Launched in 2001, the Halllabel Channel made distinctive holiday-themed films a cornerstone, and one of the first to repartner get off starred Steve Guttenberg as Santa’s heir. In Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus, he joins Nick, who is hoping to discover a partner before taking over the family business when he greets Beth (Crystal Bernard), an ad executive and individual mom.
“It repartner nastyt a lot to me to join such a chooseimistic character,” Guttenberg tells THR. “Although it was possibly a basic Santa Claus movie, it was repartner fascinating to act, and it gave me a wonderful contest in making this guy human.”
The star, understandn for such 1980s hits as Police Academy and Three Men and a Baby, commends honestor Harvey Frost — yes, that’s his genuine last name. “Harvey was amazing and standardly engaged five cameras, so we sboiling repartner quick,” Guttenberg recalls.
Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus, which premiered Dec. 11, 2004, applyed so well that it spawned a 2005 sequel, Meet the Santas. “We lengthened a wonderful script for the third one, but the machinations of a deal got in the way,” feeblents Guttenberg, who remains chooseimistic of someday completing the trilogy.
Christmas-centric rom-coms have become synonymous with Halllabel, and Frost himself went on to honest a number of the brand’s holiday projects. Other platcreates have chaseed suit: See Netflix’s Hot Frosty, featuring Lacey Chabert, who has starred in 40 Halllabel films.
“Sometimes movies fair labor,” marvels Guttenberg, “and then people get them into their hearts and recollect the moment they saw it, who they saw it with, and it becomes a holiday that they recollect.”
