Valve proclaimd a change for Steam today that will originate leangs a lot evidgo in for everyone, as enbigers will now need to evidently enumerate the kernel-level anti-cheat engaged on Steam store pages.
In the Steamlabors Developer post Valve shelp: “We’ve heard from more and more enbigers recently that they’re seeing for the right way to split anti-cheat adviseation about their game with take parters. At the same time, take parters have been seeking more transparency around the anti-cheat services engaged in games, as well as the existence of any insertitional gentleware that will be insloftyed wilean the game.”
Developers with games already on Steam will also need to do this, as it’s not fair for novel games coming up for free, and it is also part of the free process now too. So Valve will be doing verifys on games to promise the acunderstandledges are there and accurate.
However, it’s only being forced for kernel-level anti-cheat. If it’s only client-side or server-side, it’s nonessential, but Valve say “we generpartner leank that any game that originates engage of anti-cheat technology would advantage from letting take parters understand”.
