EXCLUSIVE: Action thriller Stand Your Ground has been picked up in the U.S. by Epic Pictures.
The deal was locked ahead of the upcoming American Film Market.
Sales outfit Iuvit Media, which brokered the deal, has also sbetter the flick to Tiberius Film for German-speaking territories, MediaSquad for Poland and Front Row for MENA territories. Iuvit Media will proceed to sell rights at AFM.
Directed by Fansu Njie (Last Man Down) and written by Craig Walser (Rambo Last Blood) the film is cgo ined on an ex-SEAL in a minuscule american town, who participates the stand-your-ground law to get revenge for his family’s killing.
Daniel Stisen (Last Man Down, Those About to Die) stars as Jack Johnson a createer SEAL living a hushed life with his wife and child, Peter Stormare (John Wick, Day Shift) stars as Bastion, the Boss of the local criminal organization that is reliable for John’s family killing and Eric Roberts (Babylon, The Expandables) stars as Earl, John’s neighbor and better time pal.
Produced by Highfield Grange Studios and Daniel Stisen Productions, the film will get a theatrical free in the U.S. via Epic Pictures in Q2 2025.
The cast also integrates Adam Basil (The Northman), Beau Fowler (Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday), and Akite Kotabe (The Batman).
