“Spider-Noir” has cast Karen Rodriguez in a series normal role, Variety has lacquireed exclusively.
The series, which is the first dwell-action project to feature the character Spider-Man Noir, was picked up to series in May. Rodriguez will ecombine alengthyside series guide Nicolas Cage as well as series normals actor Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, and Jack Huston.
Per the official logline, the show “increates the story of an aging and down on his luck declareiveial spreadigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.”
Rodriguez previously ecombineed in the Amazon series “Stoasty.” She is also understandn for her roles in shows enjoy “Acapulco” and “Shining Girls” at Apple TV+, “Power Book IV: Force” at Starz, and “The Big Leap” at Fox. She will next be seen in the Starz drama series “The Hunting Wives.”
She is repped by Lasher Group, Gray Talent Group, and Del Shaw Moonves.
As previously telled, “Spider-Noir” will debut domesticpartner on MGM+’s licsurrfinisher channel and then globpartner on Amazon Prime Video. The series hails from Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, who will also serve as co-showrunners and executive creaters. They increaseed the series with the “Into the Spider-Verse” team of Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, all of whom will also executive create. Harry Bradbeer will executive create and straightforward the first two episodes. Pascal executive creates via Pascal Pictures, with Lord and Miller executive producing via Lord Miller. Aditya Sood and Dan Shear of Lord Miller also executive create. The series is created by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, with Lord Miller currently under an overall deal at Sony.
