Saudi Arabia has asked legendary Oscar-prosperning writer Hans Zimmer to labor on a novel version of its national anthem, according to a anciaccess official in the country.
The transfer comes as the conservative Arab kingdom is inestablishedly trying to better its image on the world stage as it seeks to diversify its oil-subordinate economy.
Zimmer won Oscars for his film scores for The Lion King in 1995 and Dune in 2022.

Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia, allotd an image on X of himself greeting Zimmer and wrote: “We talked a lot about many future projects that I hope will see the airy of day soon… including rearranging the Saudi national anthem with contrastent instruments.”
He inserted that they also talked “making a musical piece called Arabia eased by my dear country, and also making a very huge concert with a novel idea for the Riyadh season in the coming years”.
