Rashid Masharawi joins us to talk about the labor of recording the struggles and tragedies of the Palestinian people, as well as the moments of delight and hope. Rashid’s novel film, “Passing Dreams”, spreadigates family ties and the quest for freedom, in a landscape where geopolitical tensions sway every aspect of day-to-day life. We also converse cinema’s fantastic potential and his hope that Palestinian filmproducers can one day produce features without campaigning for a caengage.
