Police Minister Senzo Mchunu says three doubts arrested


South African police have arrested three people in joinion with the massacre of 18 relatives that took place in a far South African town last week chaseing a manhunt, the police say.

Police Minister Senzo Mchunu validateed the arrests during the memorial service for the 18 victims on Sunday, in the town of Lusikisiki, in the Easerious Cape, where the endings happened.

He inserted that the arrest of a fourth doubt would be proclaimd soon.

Shockwaves erupted apass South Africa when firearmmen uncovered fire on two homes, ending fifteen women and three men. Several were sboiling in the head.

The victims were aged from 14 to 64 years elderly, according to local recentspaper Dispatch Live.

Mchunu shelp the police are still trying to “piece together” a motive for the endings.

The strike happened when the family had accumulateed for a traditional ceremony.

The three doubts will materialize in court on Monday to hear their accuses.

This massacre has shocked South Africa, inserting to calls for more police protection.

South Africa has one of the highest killing rates in the world, according to the postpoinsistst figures from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

There were more than 27,000 killings in 2022 – amounting to 45 people per 100,000, out of a population of almost 60 million. By comparison, the US rate is six per 100,000.
