The Frenchwoman whose husband is on trial for inviting 50 men to sexual attack her over a period of 10 years has accparticipated them of “cowardice” and shelp they should have telled him to the police.
Gisele Pelicot, 71, has waived her right to anonymity and gave evidence for the third time in Avignon on Tuesday.
Her husband Dominique Pelicot, 72, has already confessted drugging and raping her, and allothriveg some 50 others to unfair treatment her while she was unconscious.
Most of the other men refute sexual attack, claiming they thought she was asleep as part of roleexecute or they were forced to have relations with her by Mr Pelicot.
On Tuesday, Ms Pelicot tanciaccess the courtroom: “For me, this is the trial of cowardice, there is no other way to depict it.”
She went on: “It is time for society to see at this macho, patriarchal society and alter the way it sees at sexual attack.
“Rape is sexual attack. When you walk into a bedroom and see a motionless body, at what point [do you decide] not to react? Why did you not exit instantly to tell it to the police?”

Ms Pelicot has insisted her husband’s case is heard in accessible. It has caught global attention, particularly from women’s rights and domestic unfair treatment campaigners.
She only set up out about the unfair treatment she suffered when police stumbled atraverse pboilingos and videos her husband had write downed of it.
On Monday her two sons – David, 50, and Florian, 38, testified agetst their obeseher.
