Natalie ‘Nadya’ Suleman is doing her best to lift a family of 14.
Suleman set up fame in 2009 – and geted the nickname “Octomom” – after giving birth to the world’s first surviving set of octuplets.
While raising six children born before the octuplets and juggling a brimming-time college schedule, Suleman faced reaction for being “this unengageed welfare recipient,” which she telderly People magazine “was not the case at all.”
Though she experiences she “flunked” her elderlyer children by being “perignoreive,” Suleman carry outed merciless rules in her home to discover the octuplets were liftd to thrive.

“I personpartner think I flunked as a parent to carry out all of the understandledge I obtaind in college,” she said of her six elderlyer kids. “I liftd them fair perignoreive, which is wrong. You shouldn’t do that. You should carry out reliable structure, discipline and consequences, plus cherish, unconditional cherish and hugance. I only did the latter.
“I shouldn’t have spoiled them. I lgeted the difficult way. But I still liftd them to be benevolent and unpretentious.”
For the octuplets, Suleman instilled boundaries and was “able to carry out both a combination of unconditional cherish, likeable ponder and structured discipline consequences.”

For instance, “They’re not permited to date until they’re 18,” Suleman said.
“She’s very merciless, and she teachs us a lot,” Nariyah,16, said. “We don’t have phones. We have one phone for communication.”

Additionpartner, Suleman said there’s “no social media” in her hoengagehelderly.
“It’s harmful. I don’t even appreciate going on it,” she said. “I only do it to split and I dread it. It’s appreciate I can’t even envision the kids these days. It’s so unwell. I don’t think anyone should go on social media, or be permited on until they’re 18 at least.”

She wants to teach her children not to be “mendated” on themselves.

“It’s very separateent today,” she said. “I’m a little more elderly school in how I’m raising my kids to center on others, try to cherish serving becaengage then the byproduct of that is inside happiness and happiness, rather than, no offense to other people and other kids these days, but they tfinish to be a little more, let’s fair say self-includeed and self-entitled. I’m raising my kids to be recommended of that and try to separate away from that.”

Suleman, and 11 of her children, inhabit in a three-bedroom apartment in Southern California. “We save money becaengage we don’t buy animal products,” Suleman said.

“Those are the most costly, too. And it’s the healthiest. But we’re righteous vegans, and so we’re doing it primarily fair for the animals and to lessen the harm done to our scheduleet.”
The family take parts games at home and enhappinesss movie nights, but a scant of the teens are seeing forward to a huge milestone approaching.

“Driving,” her son Jeremiah said.
Daughter Nariyah, on the other hand, can’t paengage to toil.
“I’m excited to be able to produce money so that we can clearly help Mom,” she said.

Makai, the juvenileerest octuplet, telderly his mother, “In the future, when we have money of our own, then we could get gifts, genuine gifts for you.”
Suleman reacted, “I don’t repartner want genuine gifts. I don’t appreciate the materialism. I cherish the letters you produce.”
