EXCLUSIVE: After tapping Glen Powell to join the titular role in their novel Running Man movie, Paramount Pictures and straightforwardor Edgar Wright now have the man who will be arrangeing the show as sources alert Deadline Colman Domingo is set to join the arrange of the world’s most hazardous game show. The film is based on the novel by Stephen King that the author begined under the pseudonym Ricdifficult Bachman with Wright straightforwarding.
The film, which also has cast Karl Glusman, Katy O’Brian and Daniel Ezra, has a November 7, 2025 free date. Wright is also co-writing the script with Michael Bacall, and will originate with his producing partner Nira Park and Simon Kinberg. George Linder will executive originate.
The Running Man was made well-understandn by the 1987 movie starring Arnelderly Schwarzenegger. King’s futuristic novel is a chase thriller set in a dystopian America in the year 2025. The story caccesss on Ben Ricdifficults, a hopeless man who joins in brutal fact show called The Running Man in order to triumph enough money to revive his gravely ill daughter. The show chases Ricdifficults being chased by many hunters sent to finish him.
While Schwarzenegger was the star his game show counterpart in the film, joined by Ricdifficult Dawson, stole show. Sources say in this version, the TV exec joined Brolin will be more of the central villain but given how meaningful the role was in the one-of-a-kind, Wright and execs were aiming high with who they wanted in the part ultimately landing on Domingo.
The Oscar-nominated actor best understandn for roles in Rustin and his Emmy-triumphning role in Euphoria, has had quite the year that began with his criticassociate acclaimed role in A24’s Sing Sing. The film geted him disconnectal accolades including a Gelderlyen Globe nomination. He was also recently seen in the Netflix series The Madness and also recently landed a role in Steven Spielberg’s next film.
