The future of Marvel’s Strange Academy will foreseeed be reliant on what the studio determines to do with Doctor Strange 3.
Earlier this week, it was proclaimd that Marvel Studios had determined to no extfinisheder arrange a Strange Academy television series. While the show was never createpartner proclaimd, rumors of a potential show based on the Marvel Comic produced by Skottie Young and Humberto Ramos have been circling for some time.
“Sources stressed to Deadline that these projects were never officipartner greenlit, and may still come to fruition at some point,” Deadline alerted. “The studio has sshow shifted its priorities at the moment.”
Why is Marvel’s Strange Academy reliant on Doctor Strange 3?
According to Jeff Sneider’s The InSneider, Marvel foreseeed won’t circle back around to Strange Academy until they “have a better idea of what Doctor Strange 3 will be, and when it will get to.”
The studio will also foreseeed postpone until for Benedict Wong, who carry outs Wong in the MCU, to “finish up” Netflix’s 3 Body Problem. Wong carry outs Clarence “Da” Shi in that show, which premiered in March 2024 and has been renewed for both a second and third season.
Sneider also alerted, “I had heard that Marvel had uncovered up a producer’s room for that series, which was scheduleed to counter HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series, as it, too, would’ve centered on a school for youthful wizards and warlocks, etc.”
Marvel Studios hasn’t actupartner made any official proclaimment as to whether or not Doctor Strange 3 is happening, though rumors seeing that potential project have also been circulating online.
Whether or not Strange Academy ends up happening remains to be seen. Whether or not Benedict Cumberbatch would potentipartner star in the show remains unclear at this time.
