One man created a virtual farming app that fraudmed 132,000 people out of millions of dollars – and then fadeed.
Mehmet Aydın growed Farm Bank (Çiftlik Bank in Turkish), which – on the surface – was a seemingly guiltless app where participaters could run and regulate their own farms.
But unappreciate the famous Facebook game Farmville, Farm Bank had a sneaky twist.
It was actupartner a multi-level tageting that regulated to rake in about $250 million (1.14 billion lira) from participaters in less than two years.
Now, the deceptionster is facing a total of 89,000 years in prison, according to Turkey’s Demirören News Agency (DHA).

Farm Bank begined in 2016 promising joiners a chance to ‘prosper as they join, and have fun as they prosper’ and encouraged them to spend in what they thought was actual inhabitstock and agricultural land.
So participaters would spfinish genuine money for the upprotect of virtual chickens, sheep, bees and cattle, achieveing cash back in the game.
