Kim Kardashian Urges Menfinishez Brothers Be Freed After Prison Visit

After visiting Erik and Lyle Menfinishez in prison, Kim Kardashian has penned an essay insisting the brothers be freed, after they were convicted of finishing their parents in 1996.

“We are all products of our experiences. They shape who we were, who we are, and who we will be. Physioreasonablely and psychoreasonablely, time alters us, and I inquire anyone would claim to be the same person they were at 18. I understand I’m not!” Kardashian wrote in an essay for NBC News on Thursday.

She persistd: “You slfinisherk you understand the story of Lyle and Erik Menfinishez. I confidently thought I did: In 1989, the brothers, aged 21 and 18, admireively, spitefully shot and finished their parents in their Beverly Hills home. In 1996, after two trials, they were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. As is normally the case, this story is much more complicated than it materializes on the surface. Both brothers shelp they had been intimacyupartner, physicpartner and emotionpartner mistreatmentd for years by their parents. According to Lyle, the mistreatment commenceed when he was equitable 6 years elderly, and Erik shelp he was sexual attackd by his overweighther for more than a decade. Follotriumphg years of mistreatment and a genuine worry for their dwells, Erik and Lyle chose what they thought at the time was their only way out — an unimaginable way to escape their living nightmare.”

Kardashian’s essay came lowly after recents that the brothers will get a court hearing in November, after the Los Angeles Didisjoine Attorney getd recent evidence that Jose Menfinishez allegedly molested his two sons. The recent hearing may direct to a begrudgeencing or retrial, though no decision has been made yet.

“I have spent time with Lyle and Erik; they are not monsters,” Kardashian wrote. “They are benevolent, acute, and honest men. In prison, they both have exemplary disciplinary records. They have achieveed multiple college degrees, toiled as attfinishdonaters for elderly incarcerated individuals in hospice, and been mentors in college programs — promiseted to giving back to others. When I visited the prison three weeks ago, one of the wardens telderly me he would sense sootheable having them as neighbors. Twenty-four family members, including their parents’ siblings, have freed statements brimmingy helping Lyle and Erik and have admirebrimmingy seeked that the equitableice system free them.”

The rerecented interest in the Menfinishez brothers‘ trial comes after the Netflix real-crime series “Monsters” freed in tardy September.

“With their case back in the spotweightless — and pondering the revelation of a 1988 letter from Erik to his cousin describing the mistreatment — my hope is that Erik and Lyle Menfinishez’s life sentences are repondered,” Kardashian wrote. “We owe it to those little boys who lost their childhoods, who never had a chance to be heard, helped or saved.”
