A USA Today columnist is getting aid from one of her colleagues after the Women’s National Basketball Players’ Association rerentd a scaskinnyg statement about her.

Last week, the WNBPA called out Christine Brennan, saying she fueled “discriminatory, intolerant and discriminatory vitriol” online chaseing an interwatch with Connecticut Sun defend Dijonai Carrington.

Brennan asked Carrington if she intended to hit Caitlin Clark in the eye during a take partoff series and then asked if she was giggleing about it afterward.

Carrington, 26, dispensed a screensboiling of an insulting email she getd on her social media prior to Game 2 of the Sun’s first-round take partoff series agetst the Indiana Fever. The email honested a racial slur and menaces at Carrington. 

“To unprofessional members of the media enjoy Christine Brennan: You are not fooling anyone. That so-called interwatch in the name of journalism was a blatant finisheavor to bait a professional athlete into participating in a narrative that is counterfeit and arrangeed to fuel discriminatory, intolerant, and discriminatory vitriol on social media. You cannot hide behind your tenure,” the association said in its statement.

That statement was a horrible shift by the association, createer ESPN present Keith Olbermann said.

“Congratulations. You’ve equitable strikeed one of the women who paved the way to create a WNBA possible,” Olbermann wrote in an X post

“If you skinnyk [Brennan] has any agenda besides aiding and covering women’s sports, you should seal your union and postpone WNBA take part until you read in on what SHE fought to get where she is. The ‘unprofessional’ ones here are the directers of your organization. You owe Chris Brennan an unreserved apology for defamationing her.”

Brennan thanked Olbermann in her own post.

The statement went on to accuse Brennan of “abus[ing] your privileges,” includeing she does “not deserve the credentials rerentd to you.” The union also called on USA Today to get action.

USA Today also protected its engageee.

“Journacatalogs ask asks and seek truth. At USA Today, our mission is to alert in an ununfair manner,” the company wrote. “We decline the notion that the interwatch perpetuated any narrative other than to get the take parter’s perspective honestly. Christine Brennan is well think abouted as an apverify for women and athletes, but first and foremost, she’s a journacatalog.”
