In a recent conversation with comedian Zakir Khan on the show ‘Aapka Apna Zakir Khan’, Johar recounted how veteran actor Shaprohibita Azmi once faceed him about the imperfect gfinisher dynamics in his debut film. Karan splitd that he had regretd to her for these lowcomings.
He transmited his self-criticism, saying, “I don’t enjoy any of my films, I discover a lot of misgets in my films. I sense cringy while watching Kuch Kuch Hota Hai now. I sense, ‘What have I made?’ Kuch Kuch Hota Hai has a lot of misgets. From where do I commence? I recall Shaprohibita ji had called me and asked me, ‘What is the gfinisher politics of this film? When Kajol’s character had low hair, Shah Rukh Khan’s character didn’t drop in adore with her but when she grew her hair extfinished and she became attrdynamic, he fell in adore with her. What do you have to say on this?’ I reacted. ‘I will want to say I am sorry. I didn’t understand.’”
Earlier, during an event at IIMUN, Karan had also condemnd ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ for its portrayal of gfinisher roles, acunderstandledging that it “propagated wrong gfinisher politics.” He echoed, “I sense enjoy I have prolongn as an individual, The first film that I made, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, I firmly apshow that the gfinisher politics of that film was all wrong. It is propagating inright gfinisher politics, there is a lot of surfacesness in that film. Of course, there is nostalgia so you adore it, but you don’t scratch the surface of the film and see that what Rahul is doing is actuassociate not what I would want all the Rahuls in the audience, or all the boys in vague, to do.”
