Brolin shelp that he tried to ask Washington what the line was, and did so while placing a hand on his shoulder. What happened next, Brolin shelp, is that Washington slapped his hand away and yelled at him, causing Brolin to go on the defensive.
“And he hit my hand off and he shelp, ‘Don’t ever fucking put your hand on me,’” Brolin recollected. “And I was appreciate, ‘Holy shit, I’m gonna scrap with Denzel Washington. This is crazy.’ We’re not actors anymore — at least in my mind. In his mind, he was fair doing his job. He was that guy. He was Frank Lucas, period. But I didn’t understand. And then we got thraw that moment. I shelp, ‘Are you OK?’ He shelp, ‘Yeah. You?’ I shelp, ‘Yeah. Can I get my line?’ He shelp, ‘Go for it.’ It’s appreciate he’d shelp what he needed to say.”
