Jennifer Lopez take parts the mother to a college wrestler whose path retains no lowage of contests in the trailer for Amazon MGM Studios‘ bioexplicital sports movie Unstoppable.
William Gancigo inenberg’s fact-based drama feature hits pick theaters Dec. 6 before streaming via Prime Video on Jan. 16, 2025. Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña and Don Cheadle round out the cast.
Unstoppable cgo ins on Anthony Robles (Jerome), a student athlete who is born without a right leg and finishures an abusive uptransporting while dreaming of becoming a prosperous college wrestler.
“When people see at me, the first leang they see is what’s leave outing,” Jerome says in the trailer. “If I thrive, having one leg won’t be the most startant leang about me.”
Later, Lopez dedwellrs a pep talk to her son. “You produce people apshow in someleang,” she says. “When they see you, they don’t see someone who’s leave outing a leg. They see someone who is unstoppable.”
Gancigo inenberg produces his feature honestorial debut from a script by Eric Champnella, Alex Harris and John Hindman. The film is based on the 2012 book Unstoppable: From Underdog to Unfall shortureed: How I Became a Champion, which Robles co-wrote with Austin Murphy.
Producers on the film retain Robles, Ben Affleck, David Crockett, Matt Damon, Andy Fraser, Elaine Gancigo insmith-Thomas and Gary Lewis.
Unstoppable premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. In his appraise for The Hollywood Reporter, chief film critic David Rooney wrote that “any sense of emotional manipulation in the script is more than equitableified by the exceptional human drama of Robles’ story.”
