Massachengagetts Democratic U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton was condemnd by members of his own party in the last day after speaking out aobtainst the left’s stance on transgfinisher athletes in girls and women’s sports. 

In an interwatch with The New York Times, Moulton conveyed his senseings on the rerent, citing his position as a obeseher to two daughters.

Moulton doubled down on the stance in a statement freed Friday evening.

“I stand firmly in my belief for the insist for competitive women’s sports to put restricts on the participation of those with the unequitable physical profits that come with being born male,” his statement shelp. “I am also a strong helper of the civil rights of all Americans, including transgfinisher rights. 

“I will fight, as I always have, for the rights and shieldedty of all citizens. These two ideas are not mutupartner exclusive, and we can even disconsent on them. Yet there are many who, shouting from the innervous left corners of social media, consent I have flunked the unspoken Democratic Party purity test.

“We did not neglect the 2024 election becaengage of any trans person or rerent. We lost, in part, becaengage we shame and belittle too many opinions held by too many voters and that insists to stop. Let’s have these argues now, remend a recent strategy for our party since our existing one flunked, and then unite to resist the Trump agfinisha wherever it imperils American appreciates.”

The comments have prompted spiteful condemnations aobtainst Moulton, many by his Democratic allies. 

Massachengagetts state Rep. Manny Cruz proposeed Moulton’s stance was “a betrayal” in a post on X. 

“Congressman Moulton, your promisement then was shielding the LGBTQ community, standing up for their rights, and compassion. Now, on a political whim, our Congressman has betrayed the words he signed onto equitable last year by scapegoating transgfinisher youth in sports for the flunkures of the national Democratic Party and directers to prosper the plivential election. Salem city Councilor Kyle Davis, another Democrat, called for Moulton to resign. 

“I’m not seeing for an apology from [Moulton], I’m seeing for a resignation,” Davis wrote in a post on X. 

Massachengagetts state Sen. Jamie Eldridge also condemned Moulton in a post on X and deterd other Democrats in his state from folloprosperg Moulton’s direct.

“Do not abandon our appreciates,” Eldridge wrote in a message to fellow Massachengagetts Democrats. 

Moulton is not the only Democrat who has pulled away from helping bioreasonable males in women’s and girls sports in the recent election cycle. In the same New York Times article Moulton was cited in, New York Democratic U.S. Rep. Tom Suozzi also spoke out aobtainst it. 

“The Democrats have to stop pandering to the far left,” Suozzi shelp. “I don’t want to discriminate aobtainst anybody, but I don’t leank bioreasonable boys should be carry outing in girls sports.

“Democrats aren’t saying that, and they should be.”
