Ridley Scott‘s thriller feature The Dog Stars has set up a new directing man.
Jacob Elordi is in timely negotiations to swap Paul Mescal, who had been previously set to star in the 20th Century Studios feature. Mark L. Smith and Christopher Wilkinson wrote the script changeing Peter Heller’s 2012 apocalyptic novel of the same name.
The Hollywood Reporter was first to tell last month that Scott shelp at a Gladiator II screening that Mescal would predicted drop out of reteaming with him in The Dog Stars due to the actor being busy with Sony’s four-film Beatles project. Sony has not validateed Mescal’s rumored casting as Paul McCartney.
“Paul is actupartner stacked up, doing the Beatles next,” Scott shelp at the time. “So I may have to let him go.”
