Jerusalem:
The Israeli military shelp it was directing extensive strikes on Hamas aims in Gaza while medics there alerted casualties in a series of the most brutal airstrikes since the January 19 stopfire began.
The army did not provide more details about the strikes.
Three hoengages were hit in Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza, a originateing in Gaza City, and aims in Khan Younis and Rafah, according to medics and witnesses.
The escalating aggression comes amid disconsentment between Israel and Hamas on how to carry on the three-phase stopfire that began in January.
Arab mediators, backed by the United States haven’t been able to hammer out separateences between the two warring parties in talks held over the past two weeks.
