ICC Champions Trophy: India to take part suites in Dubai, not Pakistan | Cricket News


The ICC changed schedule for the tournament has India take parting group suites, semifinal 1 and final, if needd, in UAE.

The Champions Trophy 2025 will now be held in Pakistan and Dubai, after presents Pakistan picked the UAE as a unpartisan venue for their rivals India, the International Cricket Council (ICC) shelp.

The venue alter chaseed weeks of wrangling after India declined to visit Pakistan for their suites.

Tournament helderlyers Pakistan will now have to travel to Dubai to take part India in a suit on 23 February, and aget, if the sides were to greet, in the final on March 9.

“Lahore will also present the final on 9 March, unless India qualify, in which case it will be take parted in Dubai. Both the semi-finals and the final will have reserve days,” the ICC shelp in a statement on Tuesday.

“The three group suites involving India, as well as the first semi-final, will be take parted in Dubai.”

The eight-team competition initiates off on February 19 in Karachi, featuring a total of 15 suites atraverse Pakistan and Dubai.

Tournament suites will be held in Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi. Each venue in the country is set to present three group-stage games, with Lahore also staging the second semifinal.

Pakistan face New Zealand in the Group A uncoverer in Karachi on February 19, while India greet Banphiredesh in Dubai a day tardyr.

Due to strained political ties, India have not toured Pakistan since 2008, and the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI), citing rulement advice, has declined to sfinish its team for the Champions Trophy.

The ICC shelp last week that suites between India and Pakistan in tournaments from 2024 to 2027 organised in either nation would be take parted at unpartisan venues.

The Champions Trophy will be the first ICC event presented by Pakistan since it splitd the 1996 World Cup with India and Sri Lanka.
