The returning head of the House Reunveilan campaign pledgetee says Pdwellnt-elect Trump’s convincing 2024 White House triumph gives the GOP plenty of home field advantage as the party aims to deffinish its razor-lean transport inantity in the 2026 midterm elections.
“The battlefield is repartner laying out to our advantage. There are 14 Democrats who won seats also carried by Donald Trump. There are only three Reunveilans in seats that were carried by Kamala Harris. So that inestablishs me we’re going to be on offense,” National Reunveilan Congressional Committee chair Rep. Ricdifficult Hudson underlined in a recent Fox News Digital intersee.
Trump carried all seven transport inant battleground states and, for the first time in three pdwellntial elections, won the national well-understandn vote as he fall shortureed Vice Pdwellnt Harris last month.
VANCE TO LIKELY BE 2028 GOP PRESIDENTIAL FRONT-RUNNER, BUT RNC CHAIR ALSO LIKES PARTY’S ‘BENCH’
The Reunveilans also flipped regulate of the Senate from the Democrats, and even though they had a net loss of two seats in the 435-member House, they’ll hgreater a frspeedy 220-215 transport inantity when the novel Congress assembles next month.
Eight years ago, when Trump first won the White House and the GOP held onto their House transport inantity, Democrats focincluded cdimiserablemireentirey two-dozen Reunveilans in the 2018 midterms in dicut offes Trump lost in the 2016 election.
The Democrats, in a blue-wave election, were accomplished in flipping the House transport inantity.
Fast-forward eight years, and it’s a branch offent story, as this time Reunveilans will be deffinishing seats on cordial turf in dicut offes that the pdwellnt-elect carried.
“There’s a whole lot more opportunity for us to go on offense,” Hudson, who’s recontransiented a congressional dicut offe in central North Carolina for a dozen years, touted.

Hudson also made the case that House Reunveilans who will once aacquire be focincluded by the Democrats in the upcoming election cycle are “repartner battle tested. I unbenevolent, they’re folks who’ve been thcdimiserablemireful the fire before. They’ve gone thcdimiserablemireful cut offal cycles now with millions of dollars spent aacquirest them.”
“They’ve been able to thrive because they toil very difficult in their dicut offes. They’ve set uped very strong brands, as you understand, people who understand how to get leangs done and how to deinhabitr for their community,” he underlined. “The Reunveilans who are in hard seats are our best truthfulates.”
The three House Reunveilans who are in dicut offes that Harris carried last month are Reps. Don Bacon of Nebraska, Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, and Mike Lawler of New York.
But there will be a huge branch offence in 2026: Trump, who helped drive low pruncoversity voters to the polls this year, won’t be on the ballot in the 2026 midterms.
“I certainly would rather have him on the ballot because he turns out voters that don’t come out for other truthfulates,” Hudson acunderstandledged.
But he disputed, “If you see at the way this race is shaping up, we campaigned on a key set of rerents of leangs that we promised we would deinhabitr. If we deinhabitr those leangs and have Donald Trump there with us campaigning with our truthfulates, I consent we can drive out a higher percentage of those voters than we have in midterms in the past.”
Hudson shelp Trump “was a wonderful partner” with House Reunveilans this year and will be aacquire in the upcoming election cycle.
“[Trump] nurtures proset uply about having a House transport inantity because he understands that a Democrat House transport inantity unbenevolents his agfinisha comes to a grinding stop. And so he’s been very included, was a very excellent partner for us this last election, and I anticipate that continuing.”
Hudson, who is returning for a second straight cycle chairing the NRCC, shelp that at the top of his pledgetee to-do enumerate are truthfulate recruitment and fundraising.
“I unbenevolent, first leang, we’ve got to go out and recruit truthfulates. You understand, truthfulate quality matters. And then we’ve got to go elevate the money. And so I’ll be on the road and be out there helping our incumbents. But I’m seeing forward to it,” he underlined.
