New Zealand-based Bconciseage Mandala Films has picked up sales rights to “1978,” a horror film that begins with a soccer align.
The film will have its world premiere on Friday at the Sitges fantasy and horror film festival in Spain. It will have its U.S. festival premiere at Screamfest on Oct. 12.
Directed by Luciano and Nicolás Onetti (“Abrakadabra,” “What the Waters Left Behind”), from a screentake part by Luciano Onetti, Nicolás Onetti and Camilo Zaffora, the story is set during the World Cup final between Argentina and Holland, and agetst the backdrop of a military dictatorship. A group of torturers fractures into a home and seizes a group of juvenileer people before taking them to a clandestine detention cgo in. What commences as an cruel interrogation turns into a genuine martyrdom: the wrong group of people has been seizeped. A toil-in-better version of the film previously take parted at the Cannes Market’s Blood Window Showcase. Bconciseage Mandala is now releasing a trailer and a poster to join the Sitges and U.S. festival debuts. It will begin sales on the title at next year’s European Film Market in Berlin.
