Hollywood icon Harrison Ford continues to demonstrate the sort of friendly grumpiness that we all aspire to emulate, providing the most perfect ‘Harrison Ford-esque’ answer to a “stupid” question during an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con. Ford will soon join the MCU as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in the upcoming sequel Captain America: Brave New World, which will also introduce the villainous Serpent Society. Of course, one of Ford’s best-loved roles is that of the snake-hating adventurer Indiana Jones and, during an interview with EW, the actor was asked who deals better with the slithery serpents, Indy or Thunderbolt Ross?
As expected, Ford had no time for such overt geekery, and provided possibly the greatest interview response in his long career.
“I’ve always treated these questions with both the utmost respect and complete disdain. I will not answer that stupid question. But thank you for the opportunity.”
How Ford manages to be so charming while also being so dismissive surely needs to be studied. While he may not have the patience to answer a question about snakes, the Star Wars actor was clearly having a lot of fun at SDCC, taking to the stage and ‘hulking out’ with the utmost enthusiasm.
Harrison Ford Will Transform Into Red Hulk in the MCU
It has now been confirmed that Harrison Ford’s character will transform into the Red Hulk in the Captain America follow-up. Ford will take over from the late, great William Hurt as Thunderbolt Ross in Captain America: Brave New World, with the character having now become President of the United States. Footage of Red Hulk was revealed at SDCC, and reportedly shows Ford transform, with the CGI red face looking exactly like Ford. Which should be a sight to behold.
One of Ford’s prior wonderfully dismissive answers occurred a year ago, with the actor making headlines for asking “what is a Red Hulk?” when asked about his role in the MCU. Now, during this most recent interview, he admits that he was faking it…
“Yes, I did know, and I thought it was a fabulous secret to keep. Unfortunately, the secret’s out of the bag. But what I do not know is what the Red Hulks do, which is very interesting to me.”

Many have wondered why Ford, who is well-known for disliking his part in the Star Wars franchise, has decided to join another major blockbuster project? Well, speaking at SDCC, the actor summed up the decision by saying he wanted to join in on the “good time.”
“These guys could all do that really well. I had the best time. I had seen other actors in the Marvel universe, well respected, really good actors, have a really good time, and I said, ‘I want me some of that.’ And I got some.”
