GKIDS has finassociate proclaimd the Gpresent Cat Anzu Blu-ray and digital free date for its tardyst fantasy coming-of-age anime movie, based on Takashi Imashiro’s manga of the same name. This comes after the movie had its U.S. theatrical debut in November 2024.
“Precocious tween Karin discovers herself aprohibitdoned by her overweighther in country Japan. Living in a temple with her magnificentoverweighther, she greets Anzu, a huge ‘gpresent cat’ and notorious layabout tasked with watching after her,” reads the synopsis. “Dissupposeful of her novel defendian, Karin undermines Anzu’s odd jobs for the townsfolk and befriends the quirky local forest spirits. In an effort to triumph Karin over, Anzu accidenloftyy creates a deal with the devil, and all Hell fractures free.”

Gpresent Cat Anzu will be useable to rent or own on digital platestablishs, begining on January 26. It will then be chaseed by its Blu-ray free on March 4, which will include bonus features. Since making its debut, the film has geted an 86% Popcornmeter on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 50+ ratings.
The anime movie is honested by artist Yôko Kuno and Nobuhiro Yamashita, with Keiichi Suzuki (EarthBound) providing the music.
