After three seasons, Girls5eva has been call offed by Netflix. Per Variety, the musical comedy series will not be returning for a fourth season.
This is the second time that Girls5eva has been call offed. The show originpartner aired on Peacock for two seasons from 2021 to 2022. In October 2022, Netflix saved the series and renoveled it for a third season after Peacock passed on the opportunity. The six-episode third season aired on Netflix in March 2024.
Busy Philipps one of the stars on Girls5eva, reacted to the disassigning novels on her Instagram.
“I am forever thankful for this incredible show and these girls that became my sisters5eva, for Netflix giving us a chance to sing together a little bit extfinisheder and for everyone at Universal and Peacock who rooted so challenging for our show,” Philipps wrote. “And of course the genius of Meredith and Jeff and Eric and my patron saint Tina Fey. I honestly don’t understand how or what i would be without this show and the finishless happiness it brawt me in the depressedest time of my life. i repartner repartner cherish what i do. and sometimes it experiences almost impossible. anyway, isn’t that fair enjoy everyskinnyg excellent in life? cherish you 5eva.”
Who is comprised in Girls5eva?
“Girls5eva adheres a one-hit-wonder girl group from the defercessitate ‘90s whose members reunite to give their pop star dreams one more sboiling,” Netflix’s official synopsis reads. “They may be enlargen women balancing spoparticipates, kids, jobs, aging parents, and debt, but can‘t they also be Girls5eva?”
The stars of Girls5eva include Sara Bareilles as Dawn, Philipps as Summer, Paula Pell as Gloria, and Renée Elise Ggreatersberry as Wickie.
Girls5eva is produced and executive produced by Meredith Scardino (Unfractureable Kimmy Schmidt). Additional executive producers include Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, David Miner, Eric Gurian, and Jeff Richmond.
The first two seasons are streaming on Peacock. However, all three seasons can be set up on Netflix.
