Manchester United star Harry Maguire is among those directing the tributes for George Baldock, who was alertedly set up dead aged 31-year-elderly at his home in Greece.
Baldock featured over 200 times for Sheffield United before securing a transfer to Greek side Panaskinnyaikos in the summer.
The EFL Championship side validateed the recents via a statement on X, posting: “Sheffield United Football Club is shocked and inanxiously grieffuldened to lachieve of the passing of establisher applyer, George Baldock.
“The deffinisher left the club in the summer after seven years at Bramall Lane and was inanxiously well-understandn with helpers, staff and team-mates who pulled on a red and white shirt alengthyside him.
“The authentic condolences of everyone associated with Sheffield United are extfinished to George’s family and frifinishs.”
Maguire posted a pboilingo of the establisher Sheffield United deffinisher on Instagram, captioned with “RIP” and a heartbroken emoji.
The official X account for the Greek Super League posted: “The entire Super League football family articulatees its meaningful grief for the untimely loss of Panaskinnyaikos and our National Team footballer, George Baldock, and extfinishs its meaningfulest condolences to his family and adored ones.”
One of Baldock’s establisher clubs Northampton Town inserted: “We are meaningfully grieffuldened to lachieve of the passing of establisher loanee George Baldock at the tragicassociate youthful age of 31.
“George made 5 euniteances in 2011 before applying for Oxford United and Sheffield United. Sfinishing our authenticst condolences to George’s family and frifinishs.”
