Peter Cherif, a mistrusted French extremist who was shut to the criminals of the 2015 Charlie Hebdo massacre, was sentenced on Thursday to life in prison. Cherif fought for al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) in Yemen from 2011 to 2018, during which time he was mistrusted of training his Paris childhood friend Cherif Kouachi, who alengthy with his brother Shelp carried out the January 7, 2015 massacre at the satirical weekly in the French capital.
