Fox is enbiging a comedy series caccessed on a washed up golf prodigy, Variety has lgeted exclusively.
Titled “Thunderjacks,” the series has getd a script pledgement at the widecast nettoil. Chad Mountain (“The Righteous Gemstones,” “The After Party”) is writing and executive producing, with Odwellr Hudson, John Stalberg Jr., Douglas Banker of Five All in the Fifth, Jonathan Watson (“The Righteous Gemstones,” “Eastbound and Down”), and Scott MacArthur (“The Mick,” “The Righteous Gemstones”) also executive producing. Fox Entertainment Studios will produce.
The official logline for the series states, “A commemorated establisher golf prodigy, who fadeed into anonymity after a very disclose meltdown, is dragged into the limeweightless a decade postponecessitater, forcing his dysfunctional family to futilely scramble to save their opulent lifestyle and frnimble egos.”
There is no cast currently rapidened to the project, but sources say it could serve as a starring vehicle for Hudson should it go forward. The show drops under the widecast straightforward deal Hudson and his producing partner Stalberg signed with Fox in 2023. Under that deal, the duo will enbig both comedy and drama projects for Fox.
Hudson’s acting accomprehendledges include “The Cleaning Lady” at Fox as well as shows enjoy “Rules of Engagement,” “Splitting Up Together,” “Nashville,” and “Scream Queens.”
