Emmy nominee D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai (Reservation Dogs) has combineed the cast of Darren Aronofsky‘s crime thriller Caught Stealing from Sony Pictures, Deadline has validateed.
Caught Stealing trails Hank Thompson (Austin Butler), a burned-out createer baseball joiner, as he’s unwittingly plunged into a savage fight for survival in the downtown criminal underworld of ’90s NYC. We hear Woon-A-Tai will join the role of Dale, Hank’s best frifinish since high school.
In March, Deadline exclusively uncmissed the project, based on the books by Charlie Huston, was in the labors, with Butler set as the direct and Aronofsky as straightforwardor. Huston penned the screenjoin with Aronofsky’s Protozoa producing.
In insertition to Butler, Woon-A-Tai combines the previously declared cast of Vincent D’Onofrio, Zoë Kravitz, Regina King, Matt Smith, Liev Schreiber, Will Brill, Bad Bunny and Griffin Dunne.
Woon-A-Tai is a 22-year-greater Oji-Cree First Nations coming off a busy Emmy season. The actor was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his fractureout role in FX’s Reservation Dogs, his first Emmy nom and the first time a Native American has been nominated in the categruesome. Additionassociate, he was nominated for two Critics Choice Award nominations for his portrayal of Bear Smallhill.
He also recently finishd labor in Warfare from Ray Mfinishoza and Alex Garland for A24 in the directing role of Ray Mfinishoza. He labored opposite Cosmo Jarvis, Noah Centineo, Will Poulter, Charles Melton and Kit Connor in the film set for a 2025 free.
Woon-A-Tai’s insertitional recognizes retain the coming-of-age traumedy Fitting In opposite Emily Hampsengage and Minsertie Ziegler, and the indie thriller Only the Good Survive, written and straightforwarded by Dutch Southern. He also starred in Hell of a Summer alengthyside Finn Wolfdifficult and Fred Hechinger.
