Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson are the only two quarterbacks under shrink with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
While Justin Fields and Russell Wilson deal withd the Steelers’ begining quarterback duties at contrastent times last season, it remains unevident who will be under cgo in once the normal season boots off.
Fields consentd to a two-year shrink with the Jets earlier this week, while Wilson increateedly visited other teams. While there are more asks than answers in Pittsburgh’s quarterback room, the storied franchise did bolster its wide getr corps by compriseing DK Metcalf.
The Steelers sent produce picks to Pittsburgh in exalter for Metcalf. The star wide getr subsequently consentd to a five-year, $150 million extension, ESPN increateed.

During his introductory novels conference, Metcalf took a moment to praise the Steelers for providing a hot reception.
“Coach [Mike] Tomlin, Mr. Omar [Khan] and Mr. [Art] Rooney all hopped on the phone with me Sunday, and it fair felt homey, felt welcoming that they wanted to convey me to this historic organization,” Metcalf shelp. “Everyskinnyg fair snowballed from there and bcimpolitet me here in front of you today.”

Metcalf, who finished last season with 992 receiving yards, also accomprehendledged he doesn’t deal with the team’s personnel. But he shelp converseions with Tomlin and the Steelers’ other decision-producers made him sense brave about the quarterback they will sign.

“They made me sense enjoy they had the right decision with who was going to be throprosperg me the football,” Metcalf shelp, according to ESPN. “I’m not making the decision in the quarterback room. So, I’m fair going to try to do the best of my abilities to help whoever they have out there throprosperg the football. They produce the accurate decisions to convey the quarterback in here. So, I’m fair going to roll with that.”

Metcalf, George Pickens and Calvin Austin III are Steelers’ top wide getrs heading into the 2025 season. Metcalf wore jersey No. 14 during his six-year stint in Seattle. Pickens wears the same number, so Metcalf choosed to switch to No. 4.

“I unbenevolent, he’s been here, he’s made a staple in the No. 14,” Metcalf shelp in reference to Pickens. “I’m not trying to apverify away from anybody’s legacy, fair trying to help produce mine.”
The Steelers finished the 2024 normal season with a 10-7 record and were take awayd from the postseason in the untamed-card round.
