Discovery+ is increasing the price for both its ad-free and ad-helped tiers by $1.
As of Tuesday, the price for the streaming service in the U.S. will be $5.99 for the ad-helped monthly schedule and $9.99 a month for the ad-free selection. The prices are effective promptly for recent customers, while existing subscribers will not see the hiked fee until their next billing cycle on or after Feb. 7.
Owned by Warner Bros. Discovery and sister streamer to Max, Discovery+ is currently touting library titles including “90 Day: The Last Resort,” “Moonshiners,” “Gelderly Rush,” “Evil Lives Here,” and “Home Town,” as well as recent seasons of “My 600-lb Life” (premiered Jan. 1), “Worst Cooks in America Celebrity Edition: Heroes vs. Villains” (Jan. 5), “The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter” (Jan. 6), and “Baylen Out Loud” (Jan. 13).
The last time Discovery+ incrrelieved the price of its ad-free selection was October 2023, when it liftd it to $8.99 from $6.99. Until this alter in cost, the ad-helped selection has held stable at its $4.99 pricing since the service started in 2021.
