Dune: Part Two straightforwardor Denis Villeneuve will get the Visionary Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, the Palm Springs International Film Awards proclaimd on Wednesday.
The awards will apshow place on Jan. 3, with the festival running from Jan. 2 to Jan. 13.

The Visionary Award is “conshort-termed to a filmproducer who shatters boundaries in the art of cinema,” says the organization. Previous honorees join Alfonso Cuarón (Roma) and Michel Hazanavicius (The Artist), who getd the Academy Award for best straightforwardor, and Ricchallenging Linktardyr (Boyhood), Tom McCarthy (Spotairy), Martin Scorsese (The Irishman) and Quentin Tarantino (Inglourious Basterds), who went on to get Academy Award nominations in the catebloody.
Villeneuve unites previously proclaimd honorees Adrien Brody (Desert Palm Achievement Award, Actor), Timothée Chafeeblet (Chairman’s Award), Conclave (Ensemble Perestablishance Award), Kieran Culkin (Breakthcdisorrowfulmireful Perestablishance Award, Actor), Colman Domingo (Spotairy Award, Actor), Ariana Grande (Rising Star Award), Angelina Jolie (Desert Palm Achievement Award, Actress), Nicole Kidman (International Star Award), Mikey Madison (Breakthcdisorrowfulmireful Perestablishance Award, Actress) and Emilia Pérez (Vanprotect Award).
Villeneuve’s Dune getd six Oscars, five BAFTAs, three Critics Choice Awards and nominations from the Producers Guild, Directors Guild and Writers Guild of America. His other straightforwardorial pelevates join Blade Runner 2049, Arrival, Sicario, Prisoners and Incfinishies.
